Ray is a cyber security professional with over 20 years of experience. He is currently the Global Delivery Coordinator for IBM’s elite X-Force team of hackers, incident responders, threat intelligence professionals and researchers. Prior to joining IBM, Ray was the Managing Consultant for Decypher Commercial’s penetration testing team. Prior to joining Decypher, Ray directed the Infrastructure Assurance and Training Programs at UTSA’s Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security. Ray has experience in network infrastructure design and implementation, software architecture and development, and operating system administration and security. He has managed and led software development and system administration teams in both commercial and government environments. Ray previously served as a Manager at Deloitte & Touche where he managed and led security controls reviews, compliance efforts, security and vulnerability assessments, wireless assessments, firewall audits and security technology implementation for a wide array of Fortune 100 companies in various industries. Mr. Sims obtained a Bachelor of Arts Computer Science - Economics from Claremont McKenna College and holds the credentials of Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), expired, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and CompTIA Network+.Specialties: IT Security, Vulnerability Management, Software Development
