As a seasoned professional in media and communication management, I was responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing, media, engagement, and brand representation for designated accounts. I provided principal oversight across Cairns Infrastructure and Assets, Creative Life, Economic Development, Advocacy, Community Spaces, and Cairns Ecofiesta. My skills encompass campaign development, ensuring brand consistency, nurturing stakeholder relationships, and managing media interactions, including crisis communications. Additionally, I have a proven track record in community engagement, content creation for key stakeholders, and coordination of digital media strategies. I was also actively involved in forward planning, contributing to annual marketing and communications plans, website management and digital content development, and disaster management.I played a key role on the Local Disaster Managment Group during Cyclone Jasper and the significant flooding event that followed in December 2024. I also assisted Douglas Shire Council in the recovery effort in early 2024. I was a recipient of the Queensland Premier's Queensland Disaster Recovery Champion pin.

Working in the newly established Indigenous Engagement Team, I provided executive services and strategic advice to the Director, the Northern Australia Indigenous Reference Group and the Minister's Office on practical measures to improve Indigenous economic development in Northern Australia.The refreshed Northern Australia Indigenous Reference Group was appointed in December 2021 to provide advice to Government on reasonable and realistic actions to enhance the economic prosperity of Indigenous Australians, ensuring genuine partnership and shared decision-making on policies and programs.

Working as a Senior Policy Officer for the Office of Northern Australia, I provided strategic advice on communication and engagement strategies and activities to promote the Northern Agenda.

As Council's Corporate Communications Officer, I was responsible for internal and external communications, media and event management, website, social media management and disaster management. I also played a lead role in community engagement activities and provided high level executive support to the Mayor and Councillors.

This role encompassed a wide range of communication, community engagement and executive support duties. I was primarily responsible for promoting students’ achievements, college events and activities through multiple channels including online, local media, newsletters and publications. Working closely with the Principal and senior leadership, I developed and implemented marketing strategies to increase enrolments for the College including coordinating events and school visits to feeder schools. I was responsible for coordinating the annual yearbook, developing marketing collateral, preparing press releases, newsletters and managing the College’s website, Facebook page, mobile app and intranet.

As the Foundation’s part-time communications officer, I was responsible for all internal and external communications. The role included developing comprehensive communication and community engagement plans. Key responsibilities included preparing media releases, statements and briefs for Foundation and hospital staff, creating advertising and marketing material across a range of mediums. I was also responsible for managing the Foundation’s website and social media platforms and assisting with events including the Cardiac Challenge.
