Led Johnston County as it transitioned in the last 13 years of the 20th century from an overwhelmingly rural area into a fast-growing suburb of Raleigh. I served several communities, including the town of Holly Springs and Franklin County as manager, assisting local officials develop and organize priorities and recruit permanent managers. Related to this position, I earned an Energy Management Diploma from N.C. State University In my professional capacity, I am a credential manager by the International City and County Management Association. Served on the Energy Services Coalition National Board and the NC City and County Managers Retirement Board. I have previously served on the 911 Board and N.C. Association of County Commissioners Steering Committee on Environment, and the Intergovernmental Relations. Recipient of the Order of the Long Leaf Pine.
