Serve on the administrative leadership team for the department setting and achieving departmental goals and objectives. Serves as part of the command staff at major incidents, interfaces with Incident Commander and departmental personnel, other agencies, and media to ensure the safety of operations, accountability of personnel and smooth dissemination of information as necessary. • Recruiting, selecting, and onboarding employees to the organization• Provide day-to-day human resources support for the organization• Manage financial operations for accounts receivable, accounts payable and budgeting• Monitors and assesses hazardous and unsafe situations and developing measures to assure personnel safety• Ensures accountability system is in place and utilized during emergency incidents• In coordination with Deputy Chief and Public Education, maintain and manage content of the departmental social media accounts• Conduct interviews as needed with print and broadcast media at times on a deadline• Assisting news personnel in coverage of the department, including at the scene of incidents • Respond to incidents as requested by shift commander or during periods of high call volume• Provide support to on duty personnel in non-emergency situations as needed• Manage incidents/events and/or supervise staff members at the discretion of the shift commander, Deputy Chief or Chief
