In 2012, when I was a graphic designer-illustrator in my own studio, I was referred to the owner of Corporate Armor by a longtime client of mine. Corporate Armor is an IT security integrator and VAR. At that time it was a small, growing e-commerce in need of my services on a freelance basis. By 2014 the company had grown, and I was asked to come on board full time. I have been there ever since. I came into my position here as a Graphic Designer and illustrator, helping keep our website's street-facing assets (UI, advertisements, and product imagery and documentation) continually current, as well as creating and maintaining our social media presence. Now I also help maintain our Amazon, and Walmart storefronts, as well as our Google Adwords account.We have grown significantly since our founding in 2011. In fact, we have enjoyed becoming the #3 reseller nationally of Cisco-Meraki and Fortinet, and we are the top reseller of SMB firewalls for Check Point Software. In 2016, we became a Google Trusted Store.It has been very gratifying being part of a small team that has helped us to average 70% revenue growth per year for four years in a row. As a matter of fact, Charlotte Business Journal ranked us #10 in their annual 50 Fastest Growing Businesses in Charlotte for 2015, an accomplishment of which we all are proud, and all played a part. And what I love about being here, (among other things), is that I am pushing my natural abilities into areas in which I have never used them.

As a freelance illustrator and graphic designer, I had a wide range of clients with all sorts of projects. You never knew what you would be asked to create from day to day, so consequently I became proficient in a lot of visual media. I have served clients with Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Flash, as well as creating artwork by hand in many different media. In this capacity I have created logos, realistic illustrations, stylized, illustrations, advertisements, brochure designs, character designs, portraiture, and more.

I designed for print and some video, and illustrated for print and web. I did logos, magazine ads, trade show graphics, CD packages, photography, even some character development. I used Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, InDesign, Flash, and AfterEffects, as well as creating artwork by hand.

I was a self-employed illustrator doing artwork in various media for all sorts of clients. I did my own marketing and sales calls in this job, of course. Clients include Bank of America, First Union (now Wachovia), Bowater, Southern Shows, Opera Grand Rapids, Compass Food Group, The Charlotte Observer, and Tabletalk Magazine.
