I have spent 20 +years leading sales team's selling SaaS. Originally from Upstate NY, I began my career at 3M company and have held many roles building and leading teams in both New York and the Boston MA market. In Boston, I worked for a startup called TrueAdvantage which delivered a SaaS lead gen software to companies in need of sales leads. After two successful years, I was asked to open a remote branch in Rochester, NY where my team outsold the corporate location almost twofold. After TrueAdvantage endured a series of setbacks, new ownership relocated me back to Massachusetts in 2005 to set up an Inside Sales team at the new Corporate HQ in Southborough, MA. I was then appointed VP of Sales.After the VC’s appointed our third CEO in just a few months, I decided to test the waters and in January 2008, I joined Reed Business Interactive (‘RBI’), a subsidiary of Reed Elsevier.At Reed, I was hired to build an inside sales team focusing on securing online ads for this publishing and marketing firm. I built a team of ten reps. The inside team grew to 18 by mid-2009 and continued its success. Reed eventually announced the pending sale of RBI in 2009 and eventually began to sell off parts of my organization which led me to seek new opportunities.At Avention, (formerly OneSource), I continued to lead a new business sales organization in selling SaaS which leverages Sales 2.0 and partnerships. My team, increased revenue quarter over quarter as Avention continued to release new products and cutting edge solutions to help sales organizations achieve quotas.After a brief stay at NetBrain where I built an enterprise sales team of 10, I launched the new US sales team for Companybook in 2016.www.rogerciliberto.com
