In my current role I'm leading experimental programs, from improving existing chemical processes to developing new processes or products.All research equipment in our research laboratory fall under my responsibility.Besides my process chemist role, I have the role of safety coordinator in the Hexion VAD B.V. research laboratory.I'm also involved in re-designing part of our laboratory, to meet the future requirements and make sure our laboratory up to the task.

As analytical development lead I develop analytical method for- existing processes- new products or processesI have extended my experience with the following techniques:GC(-MS), UHPLC, several spectroscopic techniques (FT-IR, UV-Vis, NIR, NMR), titrations. Some techniques are used on-line (for instance React-IR) and off-line.In order to successfully develop new analytical methods, I'm working in a multi-disciplined team existing of process technologists, process chemists, chemical engineers.

At Diosynth I performed laboratory experiments of processes which had to be up scaled to be introduced in the plant. I also performed experiments in the kilo lab and the pilot plant (reactors from 200 - 1200 liters). the samples were analyzed with standard methods, HPLC, thin layer chromatography, Karl Fisher water analysis. I also performed the myself.

During my study at the HLO, I did an internship at Avecia NeoResins. I worked on a project developing a synthetic route for a new product.
