System Engineer and Project Lead for the satellite modem development for the world's first digital mobile satellite system - Inmarsat M/B . Responsible for Engineering and Operations of five hardware, software, and manufacturing departments, and a division in Florida of approximately 130 personnel involved in the development and manufacture of international satellite network and communications equipment. Responsibilities spanned operations, product development and program management, marketing and business development, strategic product/technology planning, ISO-9001/2 division lead, and manufacturing of product line. Led the MBO of this division to a spinoff, ParaGea Communications.

Responsible for technical direction and the implementation of the company's transition from a technology development/R&D based firm to a market driven product and engineering based organization. Formulated product strategy and goals. Implemented systems for product test, configuration management, quality control, and selection and coordination of outside contract manufacturers. Led voice coding algorithm development, coding and simulation, wrote 3500 line DSP real-time call-progress monitoring algorithm.
