Responsible for all phases of database administration (set-up, security, disaster recovery and maintenance), data ETL processing and database design.

New database/process design, development, and implementation as well as improvement, maintenance and administration of existing systems. Designed, developed, and administered VOIP data mart taking data from Cisco ICM, Call Manager, and CVP (IVR) software, providing standardized reporting across the 3 platforms. Recently redesigned to be base of a full Kimball design data warehouse.o Allowed the 3 source systems to be updated multiple times without interruption or need of recreation of the reporting, including daily mandatory government reports.o Reporting had direct impact on how the call center was managed, aiding the recognition by JD Power under their Call Center Certification Program for 5 consecutive years.  Implemented table partitioning in larger warehouse tables, both increasing query performance and significantly lowering storage costs by moving data files based on age to different storage solutions, each with a very different associated cost per gb. Redesigned existing Disease Management data mart, leading to company receiving the Arizona Quality Alliance (AQA) Showcase of Excellence Award. Assisted in several architecture transitions, including SQL version upgrades (2000-2005, 2005-2008) and server consolidation from 60 physical servers to VMWare virtual servers. Provide maintenance to the SQL environments, including maintaining DIACAP (DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process) compliance. Part of on-call rotation team, handling incoming trouble ticket, installing scheduled SQL upgrades, OS upgrade system verification, system outage response, and implementing scheduled change control tickets.

Lead architect and developer of many SQL projects and a centralized call tracking VisualBasic application. Developer/designer of a database to support an in-house call distributor / predictive dialer, handling over 50,000 calls and all agent event (up to 750,000) daily. Instrumental in identifying the need for and the creation of a (near) real-time data warehouse project for the in-house dialer to assist with reporting speed. Worked through problems in the ETL layers involved in keeping the data in the data warehouse up-to-date to within a minute through scheduled DTS packages. Created routines for verification of report accuracy when moving those reports from the transactional databases to the warehouse. Developed an automated database backup system which programmatically generates and maintains SQL jobs to perform nightly backups that complete within a specified time frame. Created a tracking system to maintain database size and remaining free space to assist in capacity planning, vital for disk space planning and forecasting the purchasing of new hardware, leading to the determined need of and subsequent purchase of hardware and software to allow further growth at the most cost-effective rate. Perform typical daily maintenance including disaster recovery and planning, performance troubleshooting and tuning, scheduling and performing reindexing, generating partition tables and files, monitoring SAN devices and iSCSI connections, and researching connection problems on 15 servers housing over 100 databases (approximately 1.5TB of data). Implement and monitor replication for several databases, including both transactional and snapshot replication, with over 40 publishers and 200 subscribers. Created both the VB GUI and SQL databases for a central call tracking system, linking inbound calls with customer information. This application supported different inbound projects, including inbound sales projects and multiple tourism-based information projects.

Architect, designed and tested Visual Basic components and programs for both client/server and Internet applications. Primary designer and developer of graphical application for 350-person sales force. This application directly decreased training time by 75% and provided visibility to order profitability, increasing ordered profitability by 30%. Project contributed to company decision to create an independent subsidiary. Created Microsoft-based middle-tier components (COM/MTS) for corporate business-to-business web site. Programmed content management application for web front-end. Earned Pinacor Spirit Award.
