I believe museums and other educational institutions should be positive forces for social justice. I draw on 25 years of experience working in informal and experiential education settings to create equitable learning and engagement opportunities with and for individuals in whom our institutions have historically under-invested our resources. I have worked with and led widely diverse groups through learning leadership cohorts, environmental conservation projects, museum-based events and programs. This work is by necessity relational and dynamic requiring curiosity, care and courage to center the needs of individuals and communities who often remain marginalized from STEM and educational institutions. I do this work grounded in the following values:- I trust my wisdom and embrace the wisdom of others - I strive for balance in everything I do- I embrace learning and growth- I nurture inclusive relationships- I celebrate joy and playMy career expertise and interests include organizational equity and inclusion, informal STEM education, group facilitation, leadership development, life long learning, authentic community engagement, and strategic planning and action.
