The Dielectric and Philanthrophic Societies are one of the oldest student groups nationwide, focusing on rhetoric and debate, politics, history, art, and philanthropy with weekly public meetings.My responsibilities included managing a body of over 40 active members, deciding interpretations of our Constitution and Code, completing organizational business in a timely fashion with a floor vote if necessary, and creating and appointing leadership for standing committees.Additionally, I was responsible for overseeing the physical and financial safety the largest portrait collection in the American South, as well as any duties related to my function as an ex-officio member of The Dialectic and Philanthropic Societies Foundation, a nonprofit board overseeing investment accounts, art holdings, and large expenditures
