Member of Dr. Scott Warren's lab in 2-dimensional nanomaterials. My independent project centered around fabricating transferable 2D amorphous metal oxide films on ultraflat ionic substrates. Additionally, I worked with a graduate student on 2D thermoelectric material fabrication with Bi based materials, using self-assembly behavior to direct material morphology. Both projects employed a variety of deposition, characterization, and transfer techniques to obtain the high quality, freestanding material.

I was responsible for the synthesis, processing, purification, and characterization of novel peptide chains for further use in biochemical research in the facility.

University Of North Carolina At Chapel Hill

Member of Dr. James Cahoon's lab researching dye-sensitized solar cell photocathode technology with a focus on surface studies and material deposition. I explored various material deposition methods, notably ALD and CVD, for defect site passivization in the photocathode material. Solar device fabrication and accompanying electrical testing of these devices were used to characterize the material.
