Redesigned 3 of the 4 PCBAs on an existing STW platform to enable this platform to support future disk drive programs. ∙ Made changes including new read and write channels, new spin motor controllers, and special circuits to accommodate new disk drive physical features. ∙ Performed extensive work to reduce noise in the power distribution subsystem, PLL noise and response, and isolating high impedance low voltage signals from power circuits that were co-located within cables and PCBAs.∙ Delivered on time and within expected budget; created notable patents related to servo track writers.
