Part of a group of 8 great people working on civil engineering projects in Texas. Hydraulics and hydrology studies, supporting drainage-related permitting for land development projects.

I was a key contributor to the overall success of a church building construction project. My responsibilities during the course of the project included construction supervision, stone masonry, HVAC installation, surveying and stakeouts, site improvement/maintenance, Skytrak operator, and all-around problem solving. I consulted with experts in various trades to resolve issues with structural integrity, land drainage, water metering, irrigation, manufacturing defects, etc.

This vocation was a purposeful hiatus from my civil engineering career track to receive theological training and develop the personal faith which I hold. It continues to be an integral part of my life, regardless of the occupation I pursue.My responsibilities included facilitating church meetings, planning campus club events, mentoring students, promoting club involvement, and integrating students with the local community.During my time here, I voluntarily took web development courses, revamped the campus club website and introduced social media. As a direct result, website traffic increased by 30%. The joint effort of 4 new staff members, including myself, boosted club participation by at least 30% and nearly eliminated the previously typical decline of student participation as the semester progressed.

During this very exciting opportunity, I led a field team to the successful completion of a sedimentation and erosion data collection program. As a team leader, my responsibilities included managing travel logistics (land, sea, and air), scheduling daily field trips, ensuring the completion of data collection goals, providing moral support to the field team, training team members on the job, and reporting to the project manager. When the need arose, as it often did, I stepped into various roles on the field team to perform extremely physically and mentally challenging survey and water quality testing tasks.I processed and analyzed AutoCAD drawings for the presentation of topographic survey data. These drawings were used to assess the sedimentation and erosion effects of a hydroelectric dam project. I also completed the quality control and assurance of water quality data.Aside from the field project, I performed hydraulic analysis of drainage culverts for a large scale floodplain management project.
