I'm a sustainability professional focused on leveraging my technical problem solving background at the intersection of government, community advocacy, and environmental justice. What I'm proud of:-Guided 3 municipalities and a school district in New Jersey through energy tracking and management across 27 facilities using Energy Star Portfolio Manager and navigating incentives provided by the utilities-Created disaster management preparedness and mitigation strategies for farmers in Puerto Rico taking into account data analysis of communications between disadvantaged communities, nonprofits, and researchers-Developed a strategy for implementing sustainability practices at in-person fundraising events by researching, assessing, and identifying best practices related to energy, waste, water, local communities, and inclusivity-Key clients include Sustainable Jersey, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and NASAI've spent my career helping companies have a greater impact. I started as an engineer problem solving, designing, and testing hardware for DOD and NASA projects. I then went to Arizona State University to learn how to have a more local impact through sustainability research, assessment, and implementation. I developed expertise in energy efficiency and sustainability certifications as an Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) Climate Corps Fellow at Sustainable Jersey. I was honored to be named an Arizona State University Spirit of Service Scholar to continue developing my advocacy and community engagement skills. When I'm not working with clients, I volunteer on trail maintenance projects on the Arizona Trail and advocate for trail funding, public lands protection, and equitable access through American Hiking Society's Hike the Hill congressional meetings. In my time off you can find me hiking in the Phoenix metro area or organizing a backpacking trip to the Grand Canyon.I love helping clients use sustainability strategies to increase community engagement.
