I am currently employed as a Research Project Coordinator at the Washington Department of Commerce in the Research Services unit. I have had the pleasure of working in this unit as a Local Government Fiscal Note Analyst since January 2019, and took on my new position in December of 2019. At Commerce, I have analyzed the fiscal impact of a variety of current and draft legislation, including criminal justice, social services and public health. I also helped create and facilitate training for new fiscal note analysts in January of 2020. In addition, I have assisted my colleagues in the completion of several reports to the legislature, and have been the Project Manager for the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan for the State of Washington since November of 2019. During my times as an Economics student at the UW, I became passionate about public health and economic development. I would love to get involved in a non-profit organization that works in the health field or does related work in developing countries. In particular, I would love to do some strategy-related work for particular non-profit programs, or to do data analysis to improve the efficacy of non-profit work. My academic experience includes interdisciplinary coursework relating to public and global health, international relations, sustainable geography, local and international economic development, econometric methods and applications, the economics of public policy, and ethical collaboration with non-profit organizations.
