Serves as the Designated Federal Official and Executive Secretary for the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics (NCVHS), the HHS statutory public advisory body on health data, statistics and national health information policy. Oversees activities of the Committee and its subcommittees, including development of recommendations and reports for the HHS Secretary from the Committee. Facilitates collaboration among diverse Committee membership on current health data and information policy issues.

Oversaw the Healthy People data management enterprise including data development and analysis, measurement and reporting on progress on national health objectives. Led multi-disciplinary team of staff and contractors responsible for the compilation, integration, analysis and presentation of data for national health objectives including health disparities measurement and tracking. Coordinated with the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health, Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, HHS agencies and other federal departments to oversee integration of data from 200 data sources. Led production of the "Healthy People 2010 Final Review," a compendium of the nation's progress toward meeting national health goals and objectives for the decade beginning in 2000.
