ICDL KiwiSkills Project has now been transferred accross to 2020 Communications Trust.

Development and Growth of the KiwiSkills ICDL Digital Literacy programme for the New Zealand Market.A great achievement during my time with the 2020 Communications Trust was driving a successful implementation of ICDL at a Corrections Pilot site in Christchurch. This has ensured that ICDL is included as part of the re-offending strategy.Corrections have advised that they are on the cusp of rolling out online learning to 11 prison sites in 2015, and the ICDL suite will be included in that.The 2020 Communications Trust have received a substantial grant for ICDL to support jobseekers and as a result the Board decided to change the focus of the ICDL programme. The Board made a decision to cease ICDL commercial Sales and have dis-established the Sales Director Role in December 2014.

Due to a change in focus NZCS now (IT Professionals) formed a new Digital Literacy Division in December 2008 focusing on tackling digital illiteracy in New Zealand using tools such as ICDL.A major achievement for me during this role was to select a new training and testing partner that was suitable to the NZ Market. This involved a tender process and testing of systems.

I was employed as the Auckland Account Manager for Computing NZ (a subsidiary of The NZ Computer Society, now IT Professionals of NZ) and was responsible for penetrating and growing the existing customer base. 6 months into this role, I was promoted to the National Business Development Manager to grow the ICDL (International Computing Driving Licence) and Escrow Service Business Units in New Zealand.I was responsible for National Marketing Activities and Business Plans. 10 months after joining I was appointed the General Manager and was responsible for all NZ Sales & Marketing Activities nationwide. I had sole responsibility for the Companies Cashflow, Profit & Loss Account and Balance Sheet.A major achievement during my time was to win the Licence for ICDL in NZ through a robust RFP process.

Originally I was employed as the Training Administrator for Training Partners NZ ( a subsidiary of Datacraft NZ now Dimension Data) whereby I co-ordinated and administered the logistics of the Cisco/Check Point Training courses within NZ. I was promoted to the Sales & Marketing Co-ordinator where I undertook various marketing tasks which drove the sales teamand generated revenue for Training Partners NZ. I was involved in putting together presentations for our major suppliers, relationship marketing, campaign management,redesigning our website, designing Marketing collateral, budgeting, purchasing, accounts receivable, accounts payableand financial reporting. I undertook a number of projects for Training Partners and have assisted in sustaining the revenue for the last 4 years.February 2005, I was appointed the Auckland Account Manager within Training Partners and over exceeded my sales target and engaged in very strong relationships with the major Cisco Partners which included organisations such as Datacraft, Telecom, Datacom, IBM, Telstra/Clear, Vodafone, Express Data, Toll Transport, AT & T, Oxygen for Business in the New Zealand Market including Cisco Systems NZ themselves. I developed myself into a position where I was a key teammember and was running the business for Training Partners.

I was originally employed as the Receptionist within Datacraft (now Dimension Data) via a temp assignment and then was promoted to a Co-ordination role whereby I worked closely with the Datacraft Account Management Team. I worked closely with both Distributors such as Express Data (now Dicker Data) and Tech Pacific (now Ingram Micro) and Key customers such as Lanlink (part of Telecom), AAPT, TVNZ to provide Cisco proposals/quotations and facilitate installations, Y2K upgrades, throughout NZ. I also worked on a number of RFP s for the company with the Account Management Team.
