No longer a secondment role, I’ll be continuing on my DMs journey as HR Business Partner working with the awesome Global Technology Team.

My duties included being in charge of all the administration for Secure IFA (a large IFA firm with a number of advisers and also several appointed representative firms). These duties included filing, post, financial product research using the specific financial sector research tools and specific provider websites (pensions, protection, and investments), typing client and provider letters, typing compliance documents, proof reading documents, database administration, spreadsheet work, taking and making client and provider phone calls, being the first point of contact for all client calls, dealing with client queries, organising and managing the appointments and the general day to day running of a busy office.

At Lighthouse IFA my duties were administration based requiring me to have strong organisational, time management and communication skills as I was required to ensure my colleagues were prepared for meetings, arranging appointments in conjunction with busy schedules, as well as being the first point of telephone contact for new and existing clients, filing, scanning and document preparation.Due to the size of the company I was able to undertake more specific work, such as dealing with clients and processing the new business, primarily dealing with compliance by ensuring clients had all the documents they required, pre-populating client application forms before issuing for completion, inputting applications online and dealing with the providers.
