I moved to Sydney from the North of England in 2014. Having started a successful career in the insurance business, I changed paths and began working for an IT reseller and managing bids and tenders. I now work as a Bid Manager for a salary packaging and fleet management provider. I enjoy the fast paced and problem solving nature of this role. Each day brings new challenges, which requires liaising with various people and departments along with finding resolutions to a range of problems. Attention to detail as well as being able to hold your own and get the right results in the right manner are crucial to the success of this role. A knack for planning for all eventualities, project management and a habit for jumping into the deep end are all beneficial, and necessary, skills for this role, as well the ability to adapt and learn on the spot.
