Project Support Officer
CurrentBased at Girlguiding Headquarters, my current role is to support a team of ten Development Workers who are based in four regions across England. The aim of the project is to grow guiding by recruitment of new leaders and young people, and to set up new Girlguiding groups in areas without a recent history of Guiding.This is in partnership with two external funders, Safer London Foundation (SLF) and Youth United (YU), with funding from DCLG.Internal communications:- set up monthly Growing Guiding newsletter, presently sent out to 400 people (Nov 2013 edition here: http://girlguidingnews.org.uk/C8V-1Z6LF-D09ER0MFC6/cr.aspx)External communications:- set up @GrowingGuiding Twitter account. Reached 1000+ followers in seven months.- Financial monitoring of team budget and project budget- Production of quarterly reports in liaison with internal stakeholders- Monitoring of quarterly reports for over 50 separate grants- Project evaluation via creation and administration of volunteer satisfaction surveys- Database use to gather volunteer data- Production of business and project plans and support materials- Production of 30 process reports, detailing processes used to set up the YU/SLF project for legacy purposes - Presentation of quarterly reports to project steering group- Team support and general admin (meetings, travel arrangements, weekly team bulletins)
