In January 2006, after 17 years as an employment law litigator and advisor, I opened my practice performing workplace investigations. I am a sole practitioner with over 45 years of experience in human resources and employment law.I conduct impartial investigations into workplace and employment issues at the request of employers or their counsel. My recent assignments include performing factual investigations for private and public employers into sexual harassment complaints, complaints of discrimination (including gender, age, race, disability, sexual orientation, national origin), workplace bullying, violation of corporate ethical standards and policies, and identity theft. From 2006 through March 2019 I managed the corporate ethics hotline for a defense contractor. This includes not only conducting investigations, but guiding local human resources staff and evaluating investigations conducted by others. Before attending law school, I spent 10 years as a human resources and labor relations professional.Although I no longer litigate, my litigation experience includes the successful defense of employment discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour, Family and Medical Leave Act claims, and other disputes arising out of the employment relationship.Specialties: Impartial workplace investigations conducted at the request of employers or their counsel.
