In this role she was responsible for developing and growing The Times’ video content across all platforms. As General Manager, Rebecca oversaw content strategy, branding, marketing, distribution, and TV and Film. She oversaw product, technology and design including the creation of a proprietary player, the mobile experience and integration of ad tech. She lead the branding and launch of Times Video hiring a team to execute the branding, the graphic system and marketing campaign. On nytimes.com the library for video went through a complete overhaul and was transformed into an easily navigable and beautiful experience. Ten months after Rebecca began her role The Times was able to launch with over 15 new series from a range of verticals. The Times received an Emmy nomination for Modern Love and an Emmy award for a beautiful interactive piece called A Short History of the High-rise. Video was sold as sponsorships to advertisers including a year long video sponsorship to Google that featured weekly episodes of 36 Hours series that lived on The Times site and was produced by the video team.
