Generated large molecule, ligand binding assay data following GLP protocols and FDA guidelines. Independently managed trait introgression projects for corn and soybean in a team of 6 project managers, utilizing high-throughput automation and PCR-based genotyping. Led lab integration of new Genotyping by Sequencing (GBS) workflow applying NGS technology. Directed high-density (SNP) genetic analysis of parental germplasm and uploaded data to internal database for cross-functional use. Led the group in scientific record keeping within an electronic notebook and internal LIMS.These are selected accomplishments: • Met aggressive biological deadlines and supported global corn and soybean businesses by overseeing high-throughput (SNP) marker-assisted breeding projects, gathering, reviewing and interpreting data and delivering results to customers within strict timelines.• Managed 25% of corn trait introgression projects and 100% of soybean projects, utilizing effective time management and a vast library of SNP markers for customized PCR-based KASP genotyping.• Increased genetic marker density of elite germplasm for more thorough, accurate, and complete analysis by tracking incoming lines, coordinating and completing high density SNP analysis and uploading genetic data to an internal database for cross-functional use.• Onboarded and integrated new marker technologies to the Marker Assisted Breeding Lab, including Illumina’s Infinium Assay, GBS/Next Gen Sequencing and TaqMan OpenArray Genotyping, by learning protocols, streamlining processes and training employees in order to support and improve the global trait introgression program while maintaining costs.• Enhanced field biologists, customers, and client relationships by demonstrating strong work ethic while consistently delivering results to key stakeholders, building and maintaining collaborative relationships, earning reputation for being strong performer and key partner for field personnel.

Worked in team of 3 to sample water, surfaces, and air particles within client facility and clean rooms. Samples were taken, labeled and initialed with GMP / GLP guidelines and shipped to Lancaster, PA for analysis. All sampling tasks assigned required completion by end of work hours that same day.• Improved quality by learning GLP / GMP practices to ensure all procedures were followed precisely and documented appropriately.• Kept client facility operational and met deadlines by completing all necessary daily sampling tasks before end of business hours each day, collecting samples and documenting according to SOPs.• Enhanced processes by monitoring air and surfaces in biosafety cabinets using aseptic technique, allowing client facility employees to create new formulations for company products.

Completed daily lab activities, such as washed dishes, made working solutions, poured media plates, ran gel electrophoresis, and watered plants in growth chambers and greenhouses. Followed protocols for bench top procedures that included plasmid preps, DNA and RNA extractions.
