I am a self-starter with the ability to acquire and apply the knowledge and skills needed to get things done properly. Proven record in strategic project coordination and event planning, with exceptional communication and organization skills. Adaptable to new technologies, creative problem solver and dedicated hard worker. Embracing a learning mindset, I am always open to new challenges and opportunities to test my limits and expand my knowledge. I am very proud to have earned an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences, graduating magna cum laude, from the University of Ottawa, and also completed the Ottawa Digital Marketing Certificate as well as the Master’s Certificate in Project Management from Carleton University. My department is responsible for all the human rights files. My role involves keeping our multitude of projects and events organized and on schedule to meet often tight political deadlines, while fostering support and collaboration with other departments. In this role, I have gained an in-depth understanding of union structures and labour politics, as well as a significant understanding in human rights issues as well as health and safety in the workplace.Prior to the CLC, I championed legendary customer service and servant leadership in both hospitality and retail commission sales management. The most valuable skills I learned in these industries is empathy - to understand and listen to your clients and staff, what their needs and goals are, and to make an authentic connection, which ultimately leads to trust and loyalty. To this day, I am the go-to person for menswear advice among my friends and family! In my spare time, I love triathlon, the outdoors and spending time with my family. I am also passionate about volunteering and fundraising for health-related charities and events.
