I managed the curriculum and training for Strategic School Design and REDDI principal residency programs. Along with the Director of Strategic School Design, I design curriculum, training, and the professional development sessions for both principals and principals in training. Strategic School Design is the leadership process of strategically using resources: people, time, money, space, and technology, to improve schools. Continually checking sustainability, equity, and alignment to the school-wide focus will allow the mission, vision, values of a school to be lived and for student outcomes and teacher capacity to be improved. The REDDI Residency is a one year program for principals in training to learn intrepreneural skills with the Office of School Reform and Innovation and experience the systems and structures of a highly effective charter school. I also worked with the Director of Operations on a series of projects around the Office of School Reform and Innovation's Common Application for Blended Learning and Compact Blue Peer-to-Peer Learning.

The mission of The New America School is to empower new immigrants and English Language Learners with the educational tools and support they need to maximize their potential, succeed and live the American dream.

I taught 8th Grade United States History at John Paul Jones Middle School from September 2007-June 2008. I taught 7th Grade Geography and Literacy at Charles R. Drew Elm. from September 2006-June 2007 as a Teach for America Corps Member from 2006-2008.

As a TFA corps member, I taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade students at three different middle and elementary schools in The School District of Philadelphia. At TFA Institute, I taught 6th grade writing, reading, and math to 6th grade summer school students. During my first year teaching, I taught 7th grade English Language Arts and Geography. During my second year, I taught 8th grade United States History.
