In this role I specialized in case assessment which involved interpreting and enforcing administrative, judicial, and out of state court orders for both child support and spousal support. My duties included completing full financial reviews and adjustments of balances owed to both custodial parents and the State, terminating and modifying support per administrative law, determining emancipation, issuing wage garnishment orders, locating and negotiating with non-custodial parents and more. In this role I quickly became considered an expert in my field and had the privilege of acting as a an expert witness in administrative and judicial hearings, including testifying in front of two grand juries on behalf of the State of Missouri. During my time as a specialist I had the pleasure of volunteering to assist inmates at Leavenworth prison in Leavenworth, Kansas with understanding their court orders and responsibilities regarding their court ordered child support once released from custody. I’m a firm believer in second chances and father’s rights. It was an honor to be a voice of reason and empathy for the inmates who wanted to ensure they cared for their children upon their release.

My career with the State of Missouri started in the Department of Corrections. I was the primary OSA to the Assistant Warden at a prison release facility. My duties included all clerical duties as well as managing the fleet expenses and inmate payroll. After over a year in Corrections, I transferred my skills to the Department of Social Services with the intent to promote to a case worker. My time as an OSA with the department included not only clerical work, but also completing paternity testing that was needed to establish new administrative court orders for child support.
