As a member of the Structural Heart Device team working on next generation TAVI (Transaortic Valve Implantation) devices, some of my key roles and responsibilites include:• Support test method validation activities onsite in Galway and in Ecublens (Switzerland) • Lead the planning, design, execution and control Attribute and Variable test method validation studies• Create device surrogates for new method, design changes and updates• Qualify test method equipment and fixtures• Train operators (Engineers, SMEs, Product Specialists etc.) across a range of experiences and confirm operator competency prior to test execution• Perform statistical data analysis using Minitab assess historical test capability and evaluate feasibility or investigation studies• Conduct failure investigation studies using root cause analysis and adherence to internal SOPs• Facilitate resolution of validation deviations encountered during protocol execution.• Creation and development of technical documentation test methods/work instructions. • Performing in depth studies to develop an understanding of competitor device key features and functionality• Developing plans for competitor testing, driving cross-function collaboration of R&D/DA/PD/Reg• Summarise findings in a comprehensive manner to effectively convert tacit testing knowledge to explicit knowledge, allowing for dissemination throughout the team• Experience with R&D methods for regulatory submission testing including: Mechanical (tensile), Microscopy (SEM), Catheter Coating Integrity, Particulate• Ensure compliance of all design specifications, prints and parts to the Quality Management System• Develop crucial relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., suppliers, internal/external SME's) in other Boston Scientific sites across the globe to ensure project alignment• Support regulatory IDE submission and next generation research and development projects
