Storytelling is a powerful way to cultivate empathy and encourage collaboration, and that's why I pursued a career in communications: to connect people with the resources they need to live well. 🩺After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (Go Blugolds!), I began my career as a writer and editor for Midwest-based arts, culture, and lifestyle publications including Twin Cities Business, Mpls.St.Paul Magazine, and Volume One. My work has received nine regional and national awards for reporting, design, and multimedia from organizations including the Association of Alternative Newsmedia, Milwaukee Press Club, and Local Media Association. I most notably wrote, reported, and produced Volume One’s award-winning debut documentary, entitled “Outbroken: A Pandemic’s Impact on Wisconsin Food & Farms.” 🥇Though I’ll always be a journalist at heart, I dipped my toes into marketing/communications at the University of Minnesota’s central international office, then I ventured into B2B marketing at Mpls.St.Paul Magazine and Twin Cities Business, where I found my groove creating print, digital, and social media content for a variety of clients spanning industries such as private wealth management, multimedia development/distribution, travel/tourism, and health care. I've written about (and edited content about) a range of health-focused topics—including the latest in interventional pain management, the pharmaceutical industry, mental health issues, and public health in Minnesota. This led me to discover my passion for promoting health through strategic communication. At Prime Therapeutics, I work with an incredible, supportive, and kind-hearted team of corporate communications professionals to execute a variety of external communications, developing deliverables that support Prime’s mission of helping people get the medicine they need to feel better and live well. ❤️I believe diversity encourages innovation, and I strive to create a work environment that is founded on principles of patience, kindness, accessibility, and learning. In my spare time, I enjoy paper crafting, reading a good book, and snuggling with my two cats—Cuttlefish and Squirt. 🐈‍⬛🐈
