• Assembled and critically evaluated historical water quality data from various sources to create a high-quality database, and subsequently conducted statistical and geochemical analyses of the data as part of an Edwards Aquifer Authority (EAA)-funded investigation of potential interformational flow between the Edwards and Trinity aquifers. Additional funding of the project continued through 2018.• Assessed geophysical logs and well data to identify candidate wells for subsequent analysis, combined geophysical and lithological data to delineate zones for salinity calculations, developed maps of interpreted salinity zones, edited and corrected maps from subcontractors all in support of project to identify and quantify brackish water production zones in the Trinity Aquifer.• Conducted water quality sampling of groundwater and surface water as part of a study of recharge sources and flow in the southern Carrizo-Wilcox Aquifer. Assembled and distributed analytical results reports to well owners.• Using a geostatistical mapping approach, developed a conceptual model of recharge and flow in the Edwards-Trinity (Plateau) Aquifer.

• Examined bathymetry of Brazos and Guadalupe Rivers using historical and contemporary cross sections and longitudinal profiles.• Correlated historical and contemporary measurement locations of Brazos and Guadalupe Rivers using Google Earth and US Geological Survey maps.• Assessed physical response of Brazos and Guadalupe Rivers to modifications such as urbanization, impoundment and water diversions.• Presented findings to Surface Water Resources Division.

• Advised student organizations on UT campus to make events more sustainable through waste diversion and resource conservation.• Coordinated with Logistics and Outreach student leaders to organize and implement "green" initiatives in on-campus events.• Diverted more than 500 pounds of waste from events during Spring 2015.• Assisted at events and spread awareness to students about sustainable practices.

• Collaborated with Division of Food and Housing Services to determine if dual-flush toilet valves are economically viable for UT Austin.• Gathered data from sensors tallying “up” (1.1 gpf) and “down” (1.6 gpf) flushes.• Assessed whether such valves contributed to UT Austin’s water conservation efforts, with recommendations made in Spring 2015.
