As the Community Outreach Executive for SG Cares Volunteer Centre @ Yishun, operated by CampusImpact, I not only support Community Partners such as Social Service Agencies, Ground Up Movements and Religious Organisations in Yishun Town but also provide support in overall aspect to the volunteer management programme (Recruit, Train, Nurture, Motivate, Deploy and Retain).I use the skills I gained as a Sociologist to conduct community assets and volunteer needs mapping for Yishun Town which informs my facilitation of partnerships between community partners in order to meet the needs and support the work of national projects.Lastly, I provide support to community and volunteer events (e.g. networking sessions, volunteer appreciation and recognition event) which aids the SG Cares Office in their advocacy for volunteerism.
