As a Junior Artworker my role is varied and involves managing and completing multiple tasks on a day to day basis. Examples include daily and monthly campaigns, creating a variety of different styled templates to be used, artwork resizing for various clients that are used for different publications, whilst having a keen eye for detail. My role allows me to work closely with my studio team and the client services team to ensure these tasks are completed efficiently to a high standard and meet the requirements of the clients.

In my role as a Graphic Artist I developed a keen eye for detail, producing virtual samples of products and print ready pdf files for clients, using their logos/designs before sending to the supplier. I worked closely with the sales team and managers to make sure that the artwork was produced efficiently and satisfied the needs of the clients.

Job Role as below

As a Graphic Design Marketing Intern, I dealt with all the design work and social media content that featured on the social media platforms. Each day I ensured that all the catering outlets had their menus and dealt promptly with any queries that arose. As a valued member of the Huddersfood team, I could be relied upon to complete routine tasks, contribute marketing strategies and support teams across the organisation as required.

I was recognised by managers and customers alike for being polite, friendly and helpful. I developed my numeracy skills by handling money and using the till. On the shop floor I put out new stock and ‘rumbled’ which means taking loose cardboard off the shelves so that the stock looked tidy and attractive to shoppers. I committed to working unsociable hours from the outset and as such was valued by managers.

To gain customer service experience and develop transferable skills valued by future employers, I dedicated my weekends outside formal study to volunteering. I completed a range of tasks as part of a team: steaming clothes, labelling and ticketing items ready for sale and display, organising stock and displays and serving, handling money and generally supported customers. This experience put me in good stead for future opportunities and was a great way to give something back to my local community.
