CurrentResponsible for the Marketing team and development and oversight of the overall Marketing strategy and function for the Varkey Foundation. Strategic leadership and operational management of the Global Teacher Prize, Chegg.org Global Student Prize and community management of over 40 National Teacher Prizes, and the Global Teacher Prize Ambassador Community. The Varkey Foundation, is a UK-based family education charity. We put teachers at the heart of everything we do; we build the capacity of educators and raise the status of the profession, believing that quality teaching is the route to improving outcomes for underprivileged children. Our portfolio includes:*The annual Global Teacher Prize. An annual US $1 million award presented to an exceptional teacher who has made an outstanding contribution to their profession.*Chegg.org Global Student Prize - a US$100,000 award presented to an exceptional student, making a real impact on learning, the lives of their peers and on society beyond.*Global Education forums which engage policy-makers, educators and business leaders that effect global change for teachers. *Research and Advocacy work into how the world thinks and feels about education.*Grant Giving to organisations that support our mission. *Working with governments and donors to build the capacity of thousands of educators in Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America.
