With over 19 years of banking experience and 10 years of experience in anti-money laundering (AML), BSA regulatory compliance, fraud, and risk management, I am a seasoned financial institution professional and a certified expert in my field. I currently lead the financial intelligence department and serve as the AML-CFT officer at Heritage Bank of Commerce, a community bank with over $5 billion in assets.My mission is to ensure that the bank complies with all the relevant laws and regulations, protects its reputation and integrity, and mitigates the risks of financial crimes and fraud. I oversee the development and implementation of the bank's AML-CFT policies, procedures, and systems, as well as the monitoring, investigation, and reporting of suspicious activities. I also manage a team of analysts and investigators, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as auditors, regulators, law enforcement, and vendors.
