I've worked in the education sector for 4 years, and in that time I have grown to be a change-maker, who is passionate about ensuring that schools have everything they need to succeed.I have a deep understanding of the education system, having worked in both public and private schools. I'm currently working as a Change-Makers in Education Fellow at SCERT Delhi, where I'm managing various programs launched by SCERT for Head of Schools, Teacher Coordinators, Teachers and Students. I also maintain stakeholder engagement of the 117+ schools in the East District for rendering academic and non-academic support for the schools. I am also leading a project in the Delhi Board of School Education as part of the Delhi Education Revolution. During my tenure at Varthana, I facilitated teacher training programs for 30+ affordable private schools and maintained customer relations for 50+. I also designed a teacher development program for the organization and distributed instruction sheets to school teachers so that they could keep their students engaged during the nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19. Additionally, I collaborated with partner organisations to conduct special interventions for inclusive programs in collaboration with them. This included bringing students to Grade levels 3-5 who would otherwise miss out on important educational opportunities due to COVID-19. Experienced in the education sector, I've been able to see the world from a different perspective. A student's journey through education is unique and personal to them, but the experience of understanding both the private and public school functioning enables me to have an open-mindedness and understand the dynamics of both settings while understanding the needs of all stakeholders. Education has always been my passion—and now I want to use it to positively impact millions! This is why I am excited about this sector: it will allow me to work towards holistic development and impact lives significantly through education.
