As an employee of Robert Half I was assigned to work for Forever Green Worldwide--a global publicly traded company headquartered in Utah. At Forever Green I helped prepare the financial statements for an independent audit as well as for the annual and quarterly SEC filings. I worked on many aspects of the financial statements including revenue recognition, payroll, and A/P.

As an intern at KPMG I got my first real taste of busy season! It was fun and exciting as I got to be a part of the team and see how things I've learned in the classroom apply in real life. I had the opportunity to help prepare extensions (federal & state), tax returns (federal & state), and estimates for a wide variety of clients including partnerships, S corps, C corps, trusts, and individuals. I enjoyed being able to see the whole process beginning with a trial balance all the way through to the workpapers and the tax return.

In this role, I managed the books for 8 projects that were in varying stages of development. I did the monthly closes to ensure the financial statements were accurate and up-to-date, I put together bank draws, and I was heavily involved in the cash management process for each project. Proficiency in time management, the ability to prioritize, and being detail-oriented helped me tremendously and allowed me to be successful in this role.I loved being a part of the PEG team, and I enjoyed the challenge of improving our processes to meet our goals each month.
