• Conducted an investigation and practical setup and board bring up of the AIoT Canaan K230 board using Buildroot, forced then Linux on the RTOS based core.• Delivered a comprehensive hardware description and explored the SDK repository.• Developed a deeper understanding of vector processors and RISC-V vector instructions, focusing on their structure and parameters.• Implemented and tested real-world examples of vectorized functions (using the C RISC-V intrinsics), highlighting their uses in AI applications.• Carried out a systematic benchmarking process, comparing performance outcomes of scalar and vectorized functions.• Presented an extensive analysis report on benchmarked functions, emphasizing on the role and functionality of intrinsics and parameters.• Finalized research by preparing a comprehensive summary. Titled the thesis as ’Exploring Vector Instructions: A Comprehensive Study on AIoT Devices with RISC-V Architecture and RVV Vector Extension’, it highlights the importance and benefits of vectorization in AI chip development and the performance of evolving neural network models.
