The mission of the Milwaukee Public Library Foundation is to provide essential support through private contributions for books, materials, programs, and library facilities to ensure the Milwaukee Public Library's continued standing as a great library responsive to community needs. The MPL Foundation provides funding for projects that complement, but do not supplant the City’s responsibility for library operations. Since its inception, the foundation has enabled the renovation of the Central Library, improved collections, expanded programs, and enhanced services.

Responsible for strategic planning, expanding market penetration, and volunteer management resulting in enhanced donor relationships, as well as recruiting, hiring, training and managing a resource development team of eight full time professionals and thirty seasonal Loaned Executives.

Directed internal and external corporate communication activities designed to increase visibility and sales effectiveness including: media relations, public relations and employee communications.Strategically managed corporate image and brand through PR planning and risk assessment.Acted as the corporate spokesperson for issue and crisis management

·Assessed and managed the corporate risk and resolution of all material defensive litigation claims resulting in settlement of all claims at or under authorized levels.·Responsible for the Corporate Secretary Department administrative functions: business continuity planning, risk management. Consistently managed an Annual budget of over $6,000,000 dollars staying at or below budget each year.Managed the 4-person shareholder services team for a registered shareholder base of over 20,000 holders with a full dividend payment and reinvestment program. Saved over $40,000 through contract renegotiations. Increased efficiency over 50% through automation and process improvement.·Acted as Secretary, or Assistant Secretary, for over 30 subsidiaries. Responsibilities included SEC filings and compliance for all Board and corporate insiders, and ensured regulatory compliance related to corporate governance and business practices.
