I started out as a medical assistant rooming patients for patient well exams and assisting with procedures including frenectomies and circumcisions. I started out as a medical assistant float, monitoring clinic patient flow to be readily available to assist coworkers when physician’s schedules were busy. To be able to fill in for other medical assistants as needed, I kept track of eight unique physician’s clinical preferences. I delivered assistance to an elderly paralyzed client with a spinal cord injury. I assisted the client in daily activities including bathing, dressing, physical transfers and care for incontinence. I also coordinated daily medicine schedules and administration to help client address their symptoms.
