Responsible for providing Air Force-wide and Space Force-wide inspection policy to ensure appropriate operational readiness and critical compliance capabilities. Oversees inspection and evaluation system implementation for Department of the Air Force nuclear and conventional forces. Investigates fraud, waste and abuse; oversees criminal investigations; and provides oversight of complaints resolution programs. Responsible for three field operating agencies: the Air Force Inspection Agency, the Office of Special Investigations, and the Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center.

Responsible for the development of Air Force operational requirements for current and future weapon systems, warfighting capabilities, and operational concepts. Shepherded Combatant Command and Air Force Major Command emergent and persistent requirements through Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System for validation and execution. Coordinated with research & development organizations to support enterprise-wide capability development initiatives. Ensured requirements generation efforts were closely synchronized with corporate acquisition and funding mechanisms to guarantee timely transition to program of record status and subsequent fielded combat capability.

Responsible for coordinating and executing Joint Staff Congressional engagements and correspondence. Orchestrated the Joint Staff legislative proposal process, ensuring detailed integration with Combatant Commands, Military Departments, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Responsible for the U.S. military’s Senate confirmation process for all Joint 4-star officer nominees.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff liaison and principal military advisor to the Secretary of State. Executed duties of the Department of State’s Policy Planning staff, responsible for the formation of foreign policy, development of strategy, and architect of civil-military operations. As a member of the Secretary’s travel team, prepared for and conducted visits with Heads of State, Foreign Ministers, and Chiefs of Defense in the execution of the foreign policy of the United States.
