I am currently working full-time as a Software Engineer at Netsmart. I recently graduated from Kansas State University with a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in Business.While at K-State, I worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Computer Science Department. I have worked on creating a networked collision-avoidance system for two robots. I also worked on developing a presentation to give to middle school students about cyber-physical systems. The main focus of the presentation was using a Turtlebot robot to solve a maze in both a simulated and physical world.I was also an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant in the Computer Science Department at K-State. It was my job to assist students during lab periods for the introductory programming course with debugging code and ensuring they follow the guidelines of the given lab project.One club I was very involved in outside of classes was the Robotics Competition Team at K-State. I was on the Mercury Remote Rover Team. We created a robot to drive remotely through a course located at Oklahoma State University, while our driver controlled the robot from K-State. I served as the lead software developer for our team. We placed 1st overall at the competition in 2019 and received the Big 12 Award and Best Video Presentation Award. I also served as the Secretary for the club.I also worked at K-State HD.TV as a student employee and office assistant. I worked on the production crew for K-State Athletics sporting events, such as football, men's and women's basketball, soccer, volleyball, and baseball. I worked with the CatDV media asset management system in the office as a student to log footage of sporting events to simplify the process of finding relevant clips for the video editors. I will continue working at K-State HD.TV as a crew member for live sporting events.
