With over 20 years of software development and architecture experience, I have a passion for high performance, reliable, and scalable solutions leveraging the power of cloud platforms, DevOps ownership and accountability, and agile methodologies.In my previous role as an Enterprise Architect at Kount, I worked extensively with AWS, micro-services, distributed systems, global data management, and 99.99+ uptime. I sponsored and assisted our engineering team in a full transition to CI/CD with the use of Terraform, Pipelines, and the establishment of DevOps teams. I have a strong background in Software Development (Java, PHP, Go, Python, and C/C++), Databases (Relational and NoSQL), and I enjoy working with and leading design and development efforts for products ranging from real-time command-and-control software to ERP systems integration and public-facing web services. I am passionate about balancing technology "possibilities" with tried-and-true patterns and principles and believe that a good toolbox ensures that every problem the the proper tool for the job. I am always eager to learn new technologies, design patterns, and best practices, and to share my knowledge and insights with others.
