Manage a support services department consisting of Manufacturing Engineers, CNC Programmers and Mechanics for Productive Machine Maintenance. Provide support to all departments including Machining, Quality, Assembly, Braiding, Warehousing and Safety. Pursue plant level objectives for improvement and cost reduction while maintaining on-time delivery of new items and machine repairs to ensure continuity of business.

Lead and manage a team of 5 engineers and programmers to support all manufacturing activities within a value stream of mechanical seals. Coordinate manufacturing assignments to support growth initiatives. Lead, develop, and mentor staff while partnering with leadership to achieve overarching business goals. Ensure a safe working environment. Address process variances. Prioritize jobs/responsibilities based on customer requirements. Optimize manufacturing. Respond to manufacturing process issues. Draft capex proposals, qualify new machine purchases, oversee implementation. Lead & participate in continuous improvement measures.

Provide project leadership for new product introductions, product enhancements, and capital expenditures. Develop and implement tooling designs that will support all areas of production to perform consistently and efficiently. Manage and implement corporate safety policies to ensure an injury free workplace. Provide accident reports and make recommendations for improvement to engineering controls, administrative practices, or job PPE requirements.

Oversee a team of product development professionals responsible for new product introduction. Manage the implementation of new product designs within our manufacturing facility and overseas partners. This includes activities such as leading DFM/A reviews, managing launch schedules, performing ERP system setup, specifying tooling requirements and verifying that products can be made to the required quality specifications. After the production planning phase lead a cross functional team as they initiate a production pilot run, make necessary modifications, and validate the product it for sale.Audit and manage our ISO product development procedures; adapting as our understanding of best practice evolves and to changing business conditions within our targeted markets.

Maintain and improve cost estimating systems, perform inside sales support, create product cost estimates and quotations.Work with operations management and maintenance staff to make recommendations for new or upgraded equipment. Implement facilities improvement projects from start to finish including tasks such as equipment selection, project planning, employee and contractor supervision, authorizing billing and payments, and performing ROI calculations before implementation and after completion. Monitor our hazardous materials usage, manage hazardous waste streams, and ensure the company's compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. This includes detailed record keeping, a thorough understanding of the legislative landscape, and a commitment to safety & transparency.
