Reena is a Program Quality Engineer in BDS Phantom Works, providing early quality engagement and planning in concept development, prototyping, and design and engineering development, leading to successful system qualification testing for Boeing Research & Technology defense programs. She has demonstrated the ability to lead the fabrication and assembly of Engineering and Flight Unit hardware at Boeing sites and supplier locations. Reena is also Learning Program Manager for the Quality Workforce Development Team under the Enterprise Quality Operations Council, and is responsible for building standardized systems, tools and training processes to enable teams across the Enterprise to own Quality for Boeing's success. Reena leads the development of multiple learning solutions in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Early Quality Involvement (EQI), and their integration/deployment across the Boeing Enterprise. Reena has extensive experience in Program Management, in which she led Integrated Product Teams (IPT) in the development and implementation of major improvements and modifications to the C-17 aircraft. She developed the first Supplier Quality EQI process for the C-17 program, which resulted in the incorporation of Supplier Quality, as an organization, into the Program Management Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and authorized the associated funding of Supplier Quality's effort via the Basis of Estimate (BOE) process. As Supplier Quality Program Manager, Reena successfully led multiple suppliers through design/development, testing, validation and verification of initial deliveries, resulting in 1st time product compliance and repeatability. Reena also developed the Quality Performance Review (QPR) process, in which she engaged with low performing suppliers in continuous improvement, assisting in issue resolution and in identifying opportunities for improvement. In the first year of implementation, and engagement with eight suppliers, the QPR process resulted in cost avoidance of non-conformance/disruptions costs in excess of $225,000.
