My responsibilities included remotely adjusting and monitoring temperature and humidity in student houses and apartments as well as turning air handlers on and off while also monitoring temperature and humidity readings.Designed and proposed design layouts for 52 kW and 29 kW solar arrays to be installed on the windscreen of the engineering building with the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions up to 140,000 lbs CO2/yr and 88,000 lbs CO2/yr, respectively. Initiated a lighting audit of three residential buildings on campus to replace fluorescent lamps with LEDs that could have the potential to save 400,000 kWh/yr & $22,000/yr for the university.Analyzed 167-fleet vehicle emissions and proposed fully electric and plug-in hybrid options for at least a 50% reduction in GHG emissions.Utilized Portfolio Manager to analyze the energy usage and overall GHG emissions for academic and residential buildings on campus.Calculated annual GHG emissions for the university using the carbon-accounting platform SIMAP.

Worked with Emerson Electric to implement 700+ Sensi smart thermostats in student houses and apartments. Surveyed students about their daily schedules so that temperature schedules could be created to reduce unnecessary energy usage when houses are unoccupied. Conducted 240+ house audits to be used for energy modeling predictions.Mapped air handler and irrigation lines across campus in ArcGIS Pro.Was a member of the Campus Energy Team where we implemented new energy-related sustainability initiatives for the university.

Worked alongside coworkers to verify that CNC milling machines ran properly. Checked the quality of machined parts using a coordinate measuring machine (CMM). Made a presentation for workers in the Applications Department explaining the new aspects and changes of the in-house software Makino uses in their CNC milling machines.

Responsible for measuring brake components and comparing the parts to their corresponding AutoCAD drawings to confirm that the measurements were within tolerance. After measuring brake components, fitments were completed for the corresponding brake assemblies. Used height gage and digital calipers to measure various dimensions on brake components.

Help to restore and refurbish old homes for low-income families. Clean and touch-up certain areas of the homes, as well as remove and install appliances. Communicate with area supervisor about jobs that need to be completed and if any problems occur.
