Commercial real estate: I purchased and rehabilitated real estate to meet the needs of my varied businesses. I believed that taking the risk to buy physical properties gave me equity, locked in rates, had tax advantages, and allowed me to tailor the space for my specific needs. Financing of them included SBA, self-funding, and conventional loans. Skills developed were design, permitting, taxes/depreciation and property management. Manufacture Rep: I used tools like leasing, banking relationships and technology to support strong sales, and accountability for the manufacturers I stood for. Marketed regionally, nationally, and internationally depending on the product. Customers ranged from Commercial to Government. Most of these products had long sale cycles that required detail to relational and CRM functions. Developed and supported an on-line store with a first-class website to help promote and sell the products.Commercial Equipment Leasing & Rental: Partnered with two Equipment Leasing experts to set up a leasing portfolio. The portfolio included specialized business equipment from titled rolling stock, construction equipment, manufacturing equipment used by companies to make money. Aided companies in understanding the advantages to leasing. Worked closely with a commercial bank to set up credit lines, to collect and document all legal forms necessary to perfect security interest. Aided in billing and collecting of accounts that included an occasional repossession and remarking of the leased item. Product Manufacturing: Took several products from concept to market. This included design, patenting, tooling, assembly, packaging, and sales channel development. These products used processes like screw machining, plating, plastic injection and one flow Manufacturing to assemble and package them. Recreational Marijuana: Investor in this emerging market. I bought property, designed heating, cooling electrical and control systems to grow and package finished product. Developed processes and documentation to follow regulatory requirements.
