• Manages the Claims Medical, Claims Underwriting and Claims Technical support areas with a focus on process improvement, cost reduction and enhanced customer experience
• Identifies and explores best practice claims business models, systems and processes and the feasibility of introducing into Sovereign
• Facilitates and executes process improvement initiatives that will enable the business to successfully achieve productivity, efficiency, service and growth objectives
• Develops, implements and assists with the development of a training and coaching framework for the claims department which involves looking at a capability framework for case management
• Supports Head of Claims in business planning and strategy development by preparing annual business plans and monitoring other managers to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and within estimated time frames
• Manages and coordinates full and comprehensive reporting to the claims department which includes analysis and trends
