Ryan is a solar development professional who came to the industry after a successful 10+ year economic development career working primarily in North Carolina. He has experience in site selection, real estate development, community engagement, government relations, project management, and a host of other skills. As a results-oriented individual, he is adept at developing strong customer relationships and building consensus across multiple stakeholder groups. He earned a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He also holds an M.P.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ryan is an active member of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and the North Carolina Economic Development Association (NCEDA). In 2022, Ryan was named as one of North America's Top 50 Economic Developers by Consultant Connect.Ryan is an avid writer, and has written numerous articles on economic development-related topics for publications like the ACCE Chamber Executive Magazine, IEDC Economic Development Journal, and Durham Magazine. He also frequently contributes blog posts and articles for solar energy-focused websites.
