For the past decade I've helped companies better communicate their brand story and market their services through engaging copywriting and meaningful content strategy. From small businesses to large corporations, I've worked with a wide range of clients in nearly every major industry, including: Ryan Co., G4 Construction, Magnet 360, GovDelivery/Granicus.

Copywriting/editing video scripts and supplemental materials for the Grow with Google Career Certificate - UX Design program.

Worked in Agile/SCRUM environment providing marketing copywriting, content strategy, and UX support for SEI's affiliate universities, Capella and Strayer. Served as lead copywriter working closely with design/UX on the complete redesign of Strayer's website homepage–a rush project that went from conception to completion in under three months.

Along with my two co-owners, I ran the popular Minneapolis-based monthly activity group Grown-Up Club. Think of it like an after-school program for adults, except with less acne and more unwanted body hair. Our work has been featured by PBS, Minnesota Public Radio, Kare 11 News, the Star Tribune, the Washington Times, and City Pages, among others.

As a contractor in 2015 then a full-time employee in 2017, I produced a wide variety of digital and print B2B marketing materials, including eBooks, blog posts, banner ads, ad campaigns, landing pages, and more. Working with a team of graphic designers and UX specialists, I helped translate complex technical concepts into engaging, optimized marketing.

Researched, wrote, and edited 80+ project case studies, adapted for both print and web. Collaborated directly with executive leadership to develop specialized marketing materials (brochures, web content, one-pagers, etc.) for Ryan's diverse service offerings. Thrived in a high-pressure, tight deadline environment with minimal direction/supervision.

Helped develop the Westwerk brand voice and build credibility through the research and production of strategic marketing/PR materials, including website copy, case studies, blog posts, product copy, infographics, and technical white papers.

Managed and produced content for strategic marketing and communications channels including the company blog and social media presence.

Researched and wrote feature articles/profiles on a variety of local community issues, primarily focused on the small business beat.

Published essays, profiles, and reported features in a variety of online and print outlets including the Star Tribune, Minnesota Monthly, Minnpost, MCAD Magazine, City Pages, MNartists, and the Hairpin.

As Co-Founder and Editorial Director of Paper Darts, I helped stitch the internationally-recognized publication into existence, and was instrumental in developing the organization's unique voice and vision.

Supervised 11 student workers and coordinated scheduling across three library locations. Assisted head librarian in collections development and library management.
