About Regina Eldridge

In 2021, Citizen eliminated the role of Systems Analyst and I accepted the role of Software QA Analyst. Many of the skills and techniques I learned as a Systems Analyst have carried into this new phase of my career, working with Guidewire's ClaimCenter product. In this role I design BDD (Behavior Driven Development) test scenarios for Rally user stories and defects, elaborating on acceptance criteria provided by Business Analysts and finding requirement gaps. I create workflow and UX diagrams as needed. I create and execute test cases in test environments, communicate bugs found during testing to all parties involved, retest after bug fixes, upload and execute test cases in Rally, and pass stories and defects on to UAT. I also perform regression testing after code freeze prior to production releases. We are an Agile environment, working in two week sprints with monthly releases, and I rotate Scrum Master duties with my fellow QAs.==================================================================As a Sr. Systems Analyst, I enjoyed everything about the project development life cycle, from talking to the business users about their needs and wants, to watching the finished product roll into production, to post production support. My skill level and experience is such that I can be dropped in anywhere along the way and ramp up quickly to be effective in whatever project I am assigned.I have built my career by going the extra mile. When gathering requirements with business users, I know that I have to ask the same question ten different ways. The first nine times the users will say, “No, not that.” and on the tenth time they will say, “Oh wait, maybe that!" It is thrilling to help them with that process of discovery and to draw out of them exactly what they need to get their job done, improve their processes, and address their needs. When I give my design document to a developer, it should have all the information needed to turn requirements into code, including business-approved sample screens, database field definitions, and functional requirements. Process flow diagrams and data flow models help complete the picture. If a developer has to come back to me with a question, that is a signal to me that my document is not complete. Since joining Citizens, I have been immersed in the Agile world of Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning and Retrospectives, and the inspect-and-correct Agile methodology. I am a Certified Scrum Master and SAFe PM/PO.

Listed skills include Software Documentation, Requirements Analysis, Requirements Gathering, Agile Methodologies, and 4 others.
