Plans/Training Officer for a Brigade Headquarters with six Infantry Battalions geographically dispersed throughout Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin and Illinois. Responsible for all current operations to include publishing Operation Orders, Warning Orders, Fragmentary Orders, all Army School scheduling actions for the Brigade. Manage all Brigade's mobilization and training to include Soldier Readiness Processing, ARFORGEN cycle, yearly training guidance, and all Division taskings. • Advises Division Commander (DGC) on military personnel policies and administrative procedures • Analyzes and implements military personnel policies relating to the procurement, assignment, retention/ reenlistment and utilization of military personnel, and the review and consolidation of military personnel actions for submission to the higher command • Coordinates the Congressionally mandated Soldier for Life/Transition Assistance Program. Manages military personnel services to include personnel processing, casualty operations, identification (ID) cards, reassignment processing, in- and out- processing, retirements and transition services, awards, training, education, evaluations, and promotion programs for assigned military personnel and family members. • Analyzes military personnel assignments to ensure proper manning of the Division’s military personnel support functions and operations and determine future manpower requirements. Plans, reviews, and approves contingency, mobilization, deployment and re-deployment and strategic plans. • Distributes officer and enlisted personnel to units and commands in accordance with established priorities. • Briefs the DGC, supported commanders and staffs on vital personnel issues; Army Separation and Reduction Programs; casualty operations, mobilization, readiness status and performance evaluations. Serves as the division liaison for congressional and special interest correspondence regarding Human Resources (Military) programs. • Advises the Retirement Services Program, the Soldier for Life/Transition Assistance Program and determines ID Card/DEERS eligibility for Soldiers, Retirees, their Family Members, Civilian and Contractor employees. • Represents command on Theater Level HR planning, coordinating committees and workgroups. • Receives, analyzes, coordinates, tracks, and reports on the status of various directive documents in support of 310th HRSC operations and missions. •Receives, analyzes, distributes, develops, issues, coordinates, tracks, and reports on the status of task orders (TASKORD), operations orders (OPORD), and requests for information (RFI) in support of 377th TSC operations and missions. • Prepares and maintains various Information Technology (IT), NetOps, and administrative related publications, operations plans (OPLAN), contingency plans (CONPLAN), and emergency action plans for the 310th HRSC • Furnishes guidance and assistance to various 310th HRSC divisions. • Ensures the continuing availability of administrative and operations related data to facilitate conduct of 377th TSC missions. • Coordinates with various commands, garrisons, and agencies listed within the various TASKORDs, OPORDs, and OPLANS.• Reviews 310th HRSC publications for feasibility. • Researches, coordinates and writes contingency plans, operational plans, and organizational plans. • Serves as the 310th HRSC single point of contact on TASKORDs, OPORDs, OPLANs, CONPLANs, and RFIs, where 310th HRSC is identified as either a tasked organization or as the originator. • Coordinates these plans with higher headquarters, sister organizations, various staffs of commands, garrison staff, and agencies as appropriate. • Develops and maintains a process for the periodic review of 310th HRSCOPLANs and CONPLANs, for the Deputy Director and other 310th HRSC Divisions, to ensure they remain current and adequately support 310th HRSC missions.• Initiates and conducts planning and exercise meetings to develop, test, and assess compatibilities among the various plans.
